South London Speakers next meeting is on 12th November (7:00 pm) at the same venue, first floor, the Bonnington Centre, 11 Vauxhall Grove, London SW8 1TD.

I have been unable to get to the group of late but luckily there is a new potential organiser, Gavin, who will be there on wednesday. Hopefully I will too but not sure due to work stuff.

This group is designed for people who have had or still do have anxiety when it comes to public speaking - its a non scary place to get some practice.

If you haven't been before we meet in a room above a cafe on Vauxhall Grove. Your participation is the key to make this meetup successful, but if you don't feel like it when it comes to it there's no obligation to speak if you don't want to.

Please come along, especially if you haven't been before, its a really friendly atmosphere, very supportive and non threatening, and once again there is no obligation to speak or even to stay, you are welcome to leave at any point.

what happens:
story telling - someone makes up the first few lines of a story and everyone then takes a turn at keeping it going.
short improptu speeches - random topics chosen by anyone, each person speaks for 2 roughly minutes on the subject
prepared speeches - again the topic is chosen by everyone and after 10 minutes prep time each person makes a short speech (approx 5 minutes) on the subject.

if people want they can bring a presentation or speech they may have to do at work or at a party etc so they can practice.

The cost is £3 each, this is to cover the cost of the room and the use of the meet up website.
the meeting lasts 2 hours, 7-9pm.

there will be no more than 10 people there so its not too scary.
